Yev Muchnik is a corporate and securities attorney with broad experience across different practice groups, including mergers and acquisitions, securities, private equity, fund formation, debt and equity capital raising, corporate governance and compliance, and white-collar investigations.
Yev has carved out a unique niche practice focusing on digital assets, blockchains, NFTs and smart contracts and other emergent technologies and has been practicing law in this space since 2016.
She also regularly advises start-up and growth-stage companies in the consumer products, agriculture, healthcare, aviation, space, fintech, agriculture, blockchain, clean energy, human resources and SAAS industries.
Yev began her career in the corporate practice group of Squire Patton Boggs, focusing on international private equity, mergers and acquisitions and white-collar investigations (FCPA). Following her time at Squire and other large international firms based out of Washington, D.C., Yev moved into the role of General Counsel for Santeon Group, a publicly traded company, focusing on government contracting, agile consulting and enterprise software development. Following such, Yev became General Counsel to a private aviation tech startup unicorn and helped them with multiple financing rounds before their acquisition.
Based in Denver, Colorado, Yev is licensed to practice in Colorado, New York and Virginia (corporate counsel). Yev is also affiliated with Launch Legal, LLC and Jason Wiener, P.C.
Random Facts: Yev was born in the former Soviet Union (Kiev, Ukraine) and immigrated to the US with her family as a Jewish refugee when she was six.
What she does in her spare time: She is deep down the web3 rabbit hole and if not busy spending her free time with her two boys, she is in Discord channels, reading up on the latest tech projects, or *trying* to keep up with what the regulators are thinking in this ever-changing space.
How she pays it forward: Yev mentors local startups and founders, and channels her focus to increasing diversity and inclusiveness into the startup and tech space, particularly as it relates to access to capital.
